milestones ....

Read an article in Young Parents about milestone and it really hits me ..cos mommy is some times guilty of worrying unneccessarily cos Ian doesnt measure up to the milestones. Here's some excerpts which mommy find particularly worth sharing:

" Remember that developmental milestones are guidelines only, not absolute points, and they refer to the "average baby" - if there is such a thing!"

" So you probably have no need to worry if u find that your baby is mostly at the appropriate stage of development but slower in one area. Take a broad view of your child instead of focusing on one skill only."

So mommy - worry less and enjoy every minute of Ian's progress ....
