Actions & Gestures

Was talking to Sharon that day about what gestures Ian is capable of doing so thought should just blog about it in case mommy's brain becomes rusty hahaha... here's a chronological order of the gestures he learnt:

1) Kiss - 1st gesture he learnt. Ian will pull your head towards him so that he can plant his big wet kiss on your face. Now it depends on his mood lah : happy he kiss, not happy he turns his head and pushes you away !

2) Clap - can perform this pretty well now (can even hear clapping sound hor .. dun play play ar). Sometimes we hit Storm he claps !!

3) Bye - Initally he will do this only when we lift his arm. Now can do it on demand (but sometimes hor must ask him many times ar then he gam guan haha) but he does it with his palm facing up while he opens and closes his hand !

4) Hello - Latest gesture which mommy is trying to teach him. Makes him wave his hands in the air when mommy says "hello" (high pitched !!). Still needs to practice tho..

5) Kick - Alamak ... ian cant even stand properly and he wants to kick the ball hor .... very ambitious right .. aiyo make everyone so tired cos got to hold him while he showcases his wobbly kick. hb say : wah not bad wor can dribble liao ... (think he watched too much soccer already)

6) Goal - hb was watching soccer the other day and taught him to lift up both his arm when he shouts : GOAL !!!! Anyway Ian loves to watch soccer ... maybe takes after his daddy .. so now whenever you say goal (whether got soccer on or not) he will lift his arm and follow by clapping.

7) Point - Now Ian is very good with his 一指神功 leh... can point at objects/animals/people he knows with his index finger.

8) Jump - Since he is able to bear his weight with those bui legs, he has been jumping like a stationary kangaroo ... hahah ... ie cannot move kind lor ...

9) Throw balls - Ian very obsessed with balls now. FIL went to buy him an real Addidas mini soccer ball (about $20 hor). Mommy didnt allow hb to buy cos feel its ex. But Ian got it as a gift from FIL (hahahahha save mommy $$$). Ian will lift the ball high up and throw and then expect you to instantly pick up the ball for him to THROW AGAIN ... else he will use his 一指神功and goes "mm mm" . Very tired ar ... but think his motor skill not bad hor at this age?

10) Stick out tongue - Ian learnt this today while we were having dinner at Great World City. He stuffed a piece of Gerber Fruit Puff and immediately ask for another one. hb scolded him and say : your mouth is still full ... and after a while, he pointed at the puff again. So hb ask: you finished? open your mouth .. arrrr .... (then hb stick out his tongue to demo) . Guess what ? Ian repeated the same action lor ... so now ask him to open his mouth, he will stick out his tongue to show you there's no more food in there !!
